Enjoyed a Leggers breakfast. Well cooked and presented. Will go again.
This is a strange place. Lovely decor and a really nice view of the canal. They also have Al fresco seating and they let dogs in which if great. We've been here a couple of times. At times the breakfast has been great, and at others I've got burnt food. The coffee is just as temperamental so unfortunately it will never be a go to choice.
Have hesitated with leaving a review as this is a local business. it's good to see local shops and restaurants doing well, and I wouldn't want to spoil that,but the idea of a review is to tell the truth. The building and location is great, access and parking is also good. The one member of staff we saw was pleasant and friendly. Sadly the meal was disappointing,I had the burger and it was like eating sawdust, I have never had such a dry beef burger.my parents were also disappointed with their meals.i should add that we went in the evening, my parents have eaten there before but it has always been at lunchtime and the food has been fine. Perhaps they have a different chef for lunchtime and evenings.
Lovely roast beef dinner for me. Yvonne had a cheese pie n mash. Couple of beers for me also. Lovely food lovely staff. Recommend to one n all.
I've been passing here for ages and thanks to my niece I finally got to visit.We went on a Sunday, and even though the weather wasn't brilliant it was still very busy, inside and outside.Service was very pleasant given how busy they were, only a short wait to place our order but the food arrived in good time.It's a lovely location with plenty of history. Whilst they have a large car park it can get a bit packed on nicer days, people use it as a start point for canal side walks.The food we had was good but my niece was a bit disappointed by the very small selection of sweets. A small but varied selection of bottled real ales was a pleasant surprise.Dogs welcome.
