My youngest daughter likes zooming around in her heelys followed by a toastie in the Cafe.

Lovely park for dog walking, picnics and wildlife. Woodland at the top with trails and bird feeding tables. Views of the countryside that surrounds Colne. Secret Garden with flower beds and more views. Some of the Park is left wild and in summer is full of wildflowers.
Nice walking area good for dog walks but pick up the poo. Good place to check for mushrooms plenty of acorns. Has designated running/jogging routes 1 and 3 kilometers.
We went for a walk round Alkincoats Park today. I used to live on Alkincoats when I was younger so it brought back some happy memories. We had a picnic in the car ( there were some heavy showers) and then had a cup of tea in the Pavillion cafe which was lovely. Hot meals are available or a snack and they had some lovely looking cakes on offer as well. Great afternoon.
